Come to JFO for the life-changing retreat that has been bringing an experience of the Kingdom of God to people like you and me for 75 years!

What is JFO?

Journey Farthest Out is an outgrowth and authentic expression of the Camps Farthest Out movement founded nearly 90 years ago by Dr. Glenn Clark. A college professor, coach, author, and firm believer in the power of prayer, Glenn had a vision to create a spiritual training ground where families, couples and singles could come together as "athletes of the spirit" to renew mind, body and soul, steep ourselves in prayer, and go farther out in our individual relationships with God. Prayer is at the heart of the JFO experience: silent prayer, spoken prayer, individual prayer and group prayer. As we explore our spirituality, we respect one another's privacy while encouraging sharing and a oneness of spirit. We invite all people, regardless of creed, orientation or spiritual background, to come experience the joy of Kingdom living through participation in the full camp program. We put aside our differences and create a safe place where all people are welcomed with the unconditional love taught by Jesus.

"The camps are dedicated to the purpose of discovering the wholeness of that abundant life which Christ promised, that life which is our rightful heritage whenever we dedicate our body, mind and soul completely to God through play, work and worship. We invite our campers to enter the kindergarten of creativity and discover all the joyous opportunities for spiritual expression. The highest art of life is a living prayer." Glenn Clark

Burns Stanfield

He is an accomplished musician, and has run the Boston Marathon seven times. He lives in Milton, MA and has three grown children who share his love of music.

LampLighters

Lamplighters are campers who have been asked to give one talk each. This year, we have asked several Winni campers to share with us how God is working in their lives. Their stories are sure to inspire us.

"…The Camps Farthest Out are the unformalized, silent, creeping leaven that is needed to revitalize a dying civilization." -- Charlotte M. Clough quoting Starr Daily, from the preface to The Way of Holy Affection
